What to Pack for Short Corporate Travel

For those who you are just getting into corporate travel, it's important that you pack sparingly, and yet can still provide a professional demeanor for your short corporate business trip. This can mean a variety of different packing methods, as well as being very organized.

According to the dress and professionalism of your job, will often dictate what you need to take with you. If you're used to wearing a suit to work, then of course you're going to be providing an extremely professional appearance, while you're on your trip. If your work is a bit more casual, look for upscale casual clothes to take on your business trip.

Assuming that your short business trip is for one or two nights, instead of a five-day seminar or convention, you'll need to pack at least one good suit, and several shirts. For ladies, this can be a bit different, but you basically are going to need one good suit, and a variety of different shirts and accessories to go with the suit.

It's always important to pack an extra shirt, in other words, if it's a two-day trip, you need three shirts. Accidents happen, and if you're wearing your shirt during a morning meeting and coffee is spilled all over it, you'll be buying a new shirt for the afternoon. Instead, pack an extra shirt, so that you don't have to worry about an accident.

Of course, you need to have all of your attire interchangeable. This means that if you take two pairs of pants, that all of your shirts match both, and the same can be said for your skirts. It's important that the whole ensemble is interchangeable so that you don't have to worry about something happening to one and not being able to wear the whole outfit.

As far as shoes for your business trip, make sure they're comfortable! There's a good chance you're going to be on your feet a lot during your corporate trip, whether your sightseeing in between business meetings, or have walking tours of plants and establishments. It's important that your shoes be comfortable for all situations. You also want any shoes you take to be interchangeable with any outfit. Ladies, this means not taking high heels that are not comfortable to walk in. Make sure your heel is low enough to walk in and wear with all of your different outfits.

When you head out on a short corporate trip you're going to be very busy, and things do happen. In order to pack effectively you want to make sure that your have an extra shirt, all of your ensemble is interchangeable, and that your shoes are comfortable.
